Travis Kelce warns that any Chiefs gear on the Rocky Statue is an ‘inside job’
On a recent episode of the New Heights Podcast, Travis Kelce warned that any Chiefs gear appearing on the Rocky Statue ahead of Super Bowl LIX should be considered an inside job by Eagles fans to enact the now-infamous Curse of the Rocky Statue.

Make no mistake, the Curse of the Rocky Statue is real. I understand why Travis Kelce would issue a warning ahead of the Chiefs batting the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. History shows a long list of opposing fanbases messing with the statue, only to end up cursed on the losing end.
As someone who has monitored the curse very closely over the past several years, we saw a false flag event ahead of Super Bowl LVII with a homemade Chiefs shirt lazily draped over the statue.
False Flag? A homemade Kansas City Chiefs shirt ended up on the Rocky Statue last night
After a thorough investigation (not really) we deemed that specific event to be an inside job. All other incidents that took place were complete outfits on Rocky, not some lazy t-shirt.
False Flag: Homemade Chiefs T-Shirt Ahead of Super Bowl LVII

Just last week, the statue was decked-out head-to-toe in Redskins gear. There’s literally no chance that any Eagles fans had all of that merch sitting around simply to enact the curse. That was a critical mistake by Commanders fans and ultimately, they fell victim to the curse after the Eagles destroyed them in the NFC Championship game.
Here are the results for opposing fanbases who mess with the Rocky Statue…
- 2015: Giants: L
- 2017: Vikings: L (NFC Championship Game)
- 2018: Patriots: L (Super Bowl 52)
- 2022: Astros L (World Series Game 3)
- 2023: Giants LÂ
- 2023: 49ers – L (NFC Championship Game)
- 2023: Chiefs* – W (Super Bowl in Arizona, False Flag)
- 2023: Diamondbacks (5 Fans, NLCS Game 1) – L
- 2023: Dolphins – LÂ
- 2023: Cowboys – L
- 2023: Bills – DNP – L
- 2023: 49ers – W
- 2024: Commanders – L
I will clarify yet again that any time this happens, it has nothing to do with the city of Philadelphia “loving” the Rocky Statue. It’s more of the fact that these loser opposing fanbases think that anyone actually cares what they do to that dumb statue of Rocky outside of the Art Museum.
It means absolutely nothing to the majority of Philadelphians and sports fans in this city.
That statue is there for tourists and the locals who try to make a quick $5 by taking pictures of them in front of it. Outside of that, completely meaningless. Literally no one cares about the Rocky Statue.
You can take that chunk of metal and toss it in the Schuylkill River for all I care.
The narrative that people in Philadelphia care about two things, Rocky and Cheesesteaks is absolutely insane and couldn’t be further from the truth. The majority of people don’t give a shit about the Rocky statue in the city of Philadelphia which is why it’s even more funny that people from out of town think it’s some major insult to our city and sports culture.
Then on top of that, every time it happens, their team loses. We’re laughing at you, so tread lightly, Chiefs fans.
