As expected, the ‘Trade AJ Brown’ crew look like complete idiots right now
Anyone who thought A.J. Brown was getting traded owes the city of Philadelphia and more specifically Eagles fans, a heartfelt apology.
It’s no secret that the Eagles offense has been stuck in neutral for most of the season. Predictable play-calling with explosiveness and no identity had Eagles fans rightfully pissed and the media talking heads foaming at the mouth to whip up some fake narratives about our football team.
It only got worse as every drive felt like the same boring formula where they would run it up the middle, get stuffed for -5 yards, checkdown, punt, repeat. Kevin Patullo’s play sheet might as well have been written in crayon with four plays on it and even then, half of those were bad and easily predictable.
Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts has been stuck playing quarterback with one arm tied behind his back, unable to do what he does best. Naturally, frustration started bubbling up, and AJ Brown was fed up. He wasn’t about to keep running cardio routes while the offense sputtered.
So of course, every time a star receiver looks pissed, the trade rumors start flying. Half of the media was actually convinced AJ Brown had played his last game as an Eagle. It was absolutely insane and in the end, incredibly wrong.
Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, and DeVonta Smith Respond:
A.J. Brown: 4 catches, 121 yards, 2 touchdowns.
DeVonta Smith: 9 catches, 183 yards, and a touchdown.
Jalen Hurts: 19-of-23 for 326 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Jalen Hurts dominates, Eagles escape Minnesota with 28–22 victory over the Vikings
That, ladies and gentlemen, is called a statement.
Multiple deep shots to AJ Brown. A 79-yard bomb to DeVonta Smith. A perfect 158.3 passer rating from Hurts. This was the Eagles offense everyone’s been begging to see and the one that will ultimately make them favorites to go back-to-back as Super Bowl champions.
They finally let their playmakers cook, and in shocking news to absolutely no one who was paying attention, it worked. The offense looked alive, aggressive, and confident once again. It was everything it hasn’t been for weeks and as it turns out, fans have been right all along.
Who would have thought that letting your MVP-caliber quarterback throw to your superstar receivers is a good idea?
It’s amazing how quickly all that “locker room drama” disappears when AJ Brown has 100+ yards and two touchdowns. Winning cures everything. And winning while throwing for 300+ yards cures absolutely everything.

Sure, the defense still looked shaky. Sure, if T.J. Hockenson doesn’t bobble that ball for 0.0002 seconds, we might be talking about a meltdown instead of a win. Offense wins in this league. If this unit finally found its rhythm, the defense can take its time figuring things out.
Moral of the Story is that AJ Brown isn’t going anywhere.
AJ Brown ain’t going anywhere. He and Jalen Hurts just needed time to remember how good they are when they play their brand of football.
