Landon Dickerson’s revised Eagles contract has interesting implications
The Philadelphia Eagles and Landon Dickerson have agreed to a revised two-year contract worth $36 million. It’s a slight pay cut for one of the best guards in the league after what was a disappointing and injury-riddled 2025 campaign, but the new deal also comes with an interesting wrinkle.
Landon Dickerson is no longer under contract in 2028, which has Eagles fans speculating he may retire in a season or two:
The Eagles and three-time Pro Bowl OG Landon Dickerson have agreed to a revised two-year contract at around $36M, per sources.

He was previously due $39M in 2026-27 but can hit that with 2027 incentives.

Of course, the idea of Dickerson retiring has not come out of the blue. It was originally posited that he could hang up his cleats in February.
Dickerson inked a well-earned four-year, $84 million extension back in 2024. This deal drops the final year of that extension.
In all honesty, I’d feel bad if the guy played past 2027 to begin with. He’s endured injury after injury since his college days at Alabama, and the last two seasons saw him battle through a Super Bowl run and never look quite right during the team’s championship defense.
Those injuries have not stopped him and his wife from their wildly successful DIY Instagram page (which my mother absolutely loves). Needless to say, it looks like Landon Dickerson has life after football pretty much figured out.
With this new deal, it looks like that chapter may be starting sooner rather than later.
