NFL History: Eagles accomplish feat that no other team has since 2000

While AJ Brown headlined a masterful offseason orchestrated by Eagles GM Howie Roseman, the defensive additions have been just as impressive.
After neutralizing Pro Bowl WR Justin Jefferson in Week 2, Darius Slay earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Brandon Graham took home the award the following week when he recorded five QB hits, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble on Carson Wentz.
In Week 4, it was Haason Reddick’s turn when he became the first player since Jared Allen in 2005 to log two sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in a single game.

With that, an NFL team had three consecutive Defensive Players of the Week for the first time in 22 years. The last team to do it — the historical 2000 Bucs defense when Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber, and Warren Sapp each won the award.
Through four weeks, Philadelphia has deployed one of the NFL’s top defenses to go along with a surging offense led by MVP candidate Jalen Hurts. If this trend continues, the Eagles will be a hard out in January.
