Daryl Morey is only going to trade Simmons if he gets an elite player in return. Otherwise, he would have traded him by now. If Simmons can return and show some improvement, the Sixers will have options. Either attempt to fix this one last time, or trade Simmons by the deadline for a disgruntled star.

Tuesday, August 31st at 4pm, is when The Philadelphia Eagles had to trim down to a 53 man roster. The Eagles had some very crucial decisions to make at wide receiver, offensive line, and the secondary. Some decisions may leave you scratching your head. While others, not so much. Many expected the Eagles to keep 4 running backs on the active roster. However, they ended up cutting one. They also waived two receivers, while many expected them to waive/cut only one. Especially considering how competitive and young the wide receiver room is.
Kenneth Gainwell finished preseason with a 78.7 grade. Which is the highest among rookies on the Eagles as well as the NFL. On top of that, Gainwell finished preseason as the 10th highest graded runningback, out of 164.
To no surprise it took a former Philadelphia Eagles player to set the narrative straight. The sports franchise that is the heart beat and pulse of the city. There was no celebration quite like the Eagles Super Bowl parade back in 2017. Wonder where Shaq was when Embiid was 3/4 from three in a playoff win. Actually no I don't. His opinions don't matter to me. Shaq will probably remain the most dominant center in NBA history. But Embiid is certainly making a tremoundous case for that himself. Embiid is one of the most gifted and versatille centers we have ever seen. He put that on display last night.
The Sixers return to action tonight for Game 2 against the Washington Wizards.
An underrated aspect of the Sixers is their depth. It may not always seem like they have a deep bench, but when coach Doc Rivers uses the right rotations, the bench tends to perform at a high level. They can go to Mattisse for lockdown defense. They can always rely on Dwight for reliable backup big man play. George Hill is a veteran combo guard. But, there is a young player on that bench that provides something no one else can. That is Tyrese Maxey.
