We are nearly halfway through the season, and Joel Embiid is #1 in the MVP race right now. If I were to tell you, after the process days, the Sixers would have the best player in basketball; would you believe me? That is where we are at right now. Obviously, the goal will always be to win a championship. But I think we all need to take a step back and just appreciate Joel Hans Embiid.
The biggest takeaway from this game was Ben Simmons. Well, besides Charles Barkley absolutely butchering Furkan Korkmaz's name. Simmons completely took Luka Doncic out of his game. He set the tone defensively to say the least. The whole team rallied around his efforts.

Jeffery Lurie and Howie Roseman should take all the blame. Somehow, someway, both guys remained in the franchise after firing Andy Reid and Doug Pederson. I shouldn't even have to mention all the horrible draft mistakes both guys have made. These two are on the verge of trading Carson Wentz. Which may be the right decision for both sides. Tyrese Maxey scoring 39 points in his first ever start was impressive to say the least. He shot an incredible 56% from the floor and was 3-8 from three. Tyrese was also impressive in last night's game against the Hawks. Maxey was able to score 15 points while shooting 50% from the field. This was especially impressive because he shared the court with Joel Embiid.
