Jeffery Lurie and Howie Roseman should take all the blame. Somehow, someway, both guys remained in the franchise after firing Andy Reid and Doug Pederson. I shouldn't even have to mention all the horrible draft mistakes both guys have made. These two are on the verge of trading Carson Wentz. Which may be the right decision for both sides. But, the fact we even got to this point is a joke. Wentz will most likely be an MVP candidate where ever he goes. But a large portion of the Eagles fanbase will tell you he's cooked.
Young, innovative, high-energy, and a player's coach. What is not to like? Ladies and gentlemen. I introduce you to the new Philadlephia Eagles head coach, Nick Sirianni.
Eagles fans rejoice. Nick Sirianni is a Frank Reich guy. Who many Eagles fans believe was one of the biggest reasons behind the Eagles success in 2017. Not to mention a big factor in Carson Wentz having an MVP season.
Josh Mcdaniels certainly has his appeal. But he just doesn't compare to guys like Joe Brady, Eric Bieniemy, or even Lincoln Riley for example. All those guys are very innovative and modern offensive coaches. That is the trend and direction the NFL is going in.
Tyrese Maxey scoring 39 points in his first ever start was impressive to say the least. He shot an incredible 56% from the floor and was 3-8 from three. Tyrese was also impressive in last night's game against the Hawks. Maxey was able to score 15 points while shooting 50% from the field. This was especially impressive because he shared the court with Joel Embiid.
You woulda thought Brett Brown coached this game. In typical Sixers fashion, they blew a lead. I should say typical Sixers fashion of years past. This time around, the Sixers weathered the storm and came out with the win.
Tobias Harris stats in 5 games in 2020-21 season: 17.8PPG, 8.4RPG, 47.2FG%, 45.8 3Pt%
The Philadelphia 76ers open up their season against the Washington Wizards tomorrow night. Sixers fans should have plenty of reasons to be excited. A new coaching staff, a new roster, and a hungry Joel and Ben. In today's DailyDrip blog, we take a look at three things to watch out for tomorrow night.
Joel Embiid has made a case for himself as one of the best two-way players in the NBA. Unfortunately, he is still missing that one legitimate push for the most valuable player of the league award. He has been left out of the conversation over the years due to his own individual health, and the Sixers not finishing as a top seed in the East. History will tell us that the MVP award tends to go to a player on a top seeded team in either respective conference.
