But Embiid is certainly making a tremoundous case for that himself. Embiid is one of the most gifted and versatille centers we have ever seen. He put that on display last night.

An underrated aspect of the Sixers is their depth. It may not always seem like they have a deep bench, but when coach Doc Rivers uses the right rotations, the bench tends to perform at a high level. They can go to Mattisse for lockdown defense. They can always rely on Dwight for reliable backup big man play. George Hill is a veteran combo guard. But, there is a young player on that bench that provides something no one else can. That is Tyrese Maxey.

The Philadelphia 76ers ended up doing business with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2021 NBA trade deadline. The Sixers are landing George Hill from the Thunder and Ignas Brazdeikis from the Knicks. We are nearly halfway through the season, and Joel Embiid is #1 in the MVP race right now. If I were to tell you, after the process days, the Sixers would have the best player in basketball; would you believe me? That is where we are at right now. Obviously, the goal will always be to win a championship. But I think we all need to take a step back and just appreciate Joel Hans Embiid.
