Jihaad Campbell looked like a another Howie Roseman STEAL in Eagles debut
Howie Roseman did it again. Somehow, someway, the Eagles landed Jihaad Campbell with the No. 31 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Thirty players heard their name called before him. Thirty general managers looked at their draft boards and thought, “Nah, we’ll pass.” Now, one week into the NFL season, Campbell looks like the best defensive player on the field.
Jihaad Campbell was everywhere last night
The rookie linebacker absolutely went off in his NFL debut against the Cowboys, putting together the kind of performance that makes you wonder how the rest of the league let him slide to the bottom of the first round.
Jihaad Campbell’s Week 1 Stat Line
- 56 total defensive snaps
- 3 total tackles
- 1 forced fumble
- 2 targets, 1 reception allowed (for -3 yards)
- 1 pass defended
- 56.3 passer rating allowed
Jihaad Campbell. Elite Everywhere.
Jihaad Campbell looked comfortable, confident, and fast. He didn’t just hold his own, he erased plays before they even had a chance to develop.
He was disruptive in coverage, disciplined against the run, and already showing the instincts that made him a five-star recruit coming out of high school.
For a team that’s had its share of linebacker problems over the years, this feels like robbery. Roseman found a star at 30, and Campbell wasted no time proving he belongs.
If this is what Jihaad Campbell looks like in Week 1, imagine what he’s going to be by December.
